There are some plastics in the unit (specifically in the floor outlet, screw covers and controller), but plastic material doesn’t off gas until the ambient temperature reaches 212 degrees, which is quite a bit higher than our saunas’ top temperatures.  All saunas are made with some amount of glue. It's impossible (regardless of what a competitor may tell you) to construct a sauna without glue. The difference between brands is where is that glue used and what type of glue is used.

How many infrared saunas on the market can reach a temperature of 163 degrees? If you want the max benefits out of an infrared sauna Finnmark Designs has engineered one of the only infrared saunas on the market to activate HSP (heat shock protiens).  

Your Finnmark Design's sauna was constructed with the power supply in the ceiling. There was many reasons for this engineering, most notable to reduce EMF's within the sauna. You will need at least 6 inches of clearance to connect the wires. We have seen several customers get away with having a smaller clearance but we recommend 6 inches.   For build-ins we recommend having a lip with removable moulding in case you need to access the power supply.

Finnmark Designs ships all saunas via LTL freight through our network of carriers. Once your new sauna leaves our facility the transit times are between 1 and 10 days depending on your delivery adddress.   NOTE: LTL shipments use large semi-trailers. Weather can play a role within delivery times, especially in the fall, winter and spring months.  

  Cleaning your Finnmark Designs infrared sauna is essential in keeping your investment in your health tip top. Our saunas are made with Western Canadian cedar that we air dry to retain it’s antimicrobial benefits.  Cleaning the outside of your sauna. We recommend using a microfiber towel and a little water to wipe down any dust. Then we strongly recommend purchasing a non-toxic beeswax wood conditioner. Do not use any chemicals on the glass.

Finnmark Designs infrared saunas operate with the same capacity in your home as in a medical facility. Like all professional equipment, you may put yourself at risk if you do not fully understand how use and operate the machine. Infrared sauna use does not imply any cure for or treating any disease is neither implied nor should be inferred. Drinking an electrolyte-replacing water or a sports drink is strongly recommended before and after use.

Your Finnmark Designs sauna can be placed outdoors with an optional sauna cover. We work with a well known company called Sauna Covers. Finnmark Designs has partnered with Sauna Covers as they produce the best cover on the market. When it comes time to protect your investment you don't want to rely on a low quality cover.   If you vist SaunaCovers.com and select "choose sauna company" and then Finnmark Designs all of our dimensions are already preloaded for your convienence.

The benches were built with extra support brackets and have a weight limit of 380 pounds.
